Gordon Companies will fold its brick-and-mortar retail store into its e-commerce and commercial real estate portfolio.

CHEEKTOWAGA, New York (08/26/2022) – Gordon Companies, Inc. is proud to announce that construction will soon commence on a Life Storage self storage facility at 1460 French Road and Transit Road in Cheektowaga, New York.

The 57,000-sq-ft facility will contain around four hundred storage units and 46,000-sq-ft of rentable space. It is slated to open in early 2023. Life Storage, Inc. (NYSE:LSI), a leading national owner and operator of self-storage properties, will operate the facility when it opens..

The new Life Storage will replace the existing Dave’s Christmas Wonderland retail location, allowing Gordon Companies to direct additional resources and focus to its award-winning ecommerce businesses including Christmas.com, Christmascentral.com, Northlight, and Poolcentral.com. In addition to its own websites, Gordon Companies has been an early seller of Christmas, holiday, and everyday merchandise on all the major marketplaces including Target.com, Walmart.com, Amazon, and more.

Gordon Companies recently purchased additional warehousing space in the western New York region to fulfill the demand for its online sales. “Our ecommerce business continues to thrive since its inception in 2004,” said Nathan Gordon, Vice President Gordon Companies. “We are dedicating more employees and resources to our ecommerce division. We are pleased to join Life Storage to further enhance our business portfolio.”

The company does not rule out future pop-up retail stores in the future. “Gordon Companies can secure competitive pricing and deep quantities of merchandise due to our ecommerce businesses.
